Ocean Sports Hotel

Ocean Sports is a small, family owned and managed beach hotel located in the Watamu National Marine Park. Very casual, laid back and relaxed, Ocean Sports has long been the location of choice for Kenyan residents wanting a break on the beach.

You will almost always find a greater proportion of the guests are Kenyan rather than visitors to the country and for those who like to mix in with the locals, Ocean Sports is the place to be.

The hotel has an excellent restaurant, which makes use of the fresh seafood and fish that is brought to the door on a daily basis. Locally farmed vegetables and fresh ground spices make for delicious meals.

The large, well-stocked bar is open to one and all and you'll always find someone to talk to here, while perched around the 'boat' that is the bar's centerpiece.

The hotel has 15 double bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom a private verandah and ceiling fans. There are also a number of family cottages which may be taken on a half board basis or may be rented as a self catering house where a cook and cleaner are provided, but you arrange your own food and drink.

There is plenty to do at Ocean Sports, there is a swimming pool, tennis court, squash court and gym available for all guests and then you may go snorkeling in the marine park, diving on the outer reefs, deep sea fishing for marlin and sailfish, bird watching in the Arabuko Forest or simply sunbathe on the 7 kilometre long white sand beach.

If you fancy a beach holiday but don't like large, package holiday style hotels, then Ocean sports is the place for you!
